The pepper has a rich flavour that has a hint of sweetness and earthy undertones, similar to Pasillas and Anchos. It turns chocolate brown when ripe. The peppers are about 3 cm in width and 15 cm in length. They are medium hot and very versatile. Great for roasting when still green. After ripening and brown, they are a great for use in sauces and salsas. They dry easily and are perfect for chili flakes or powder. Plant height is around 1 – 1,2 meters.
