This variety is widely grown in California, Texas and New Mexico. The plant is ideal for a cooler climate and resistant to the tobacco mosaic virus. The height of the plant is between 60 and 80 centimeters. The chili pods are about 5 - 7.5 cm long and turn from a bright green color to orange and finally to beautiful dark red. They taste slightly sweet and medium hot. The Fresno pepper is ideal to use fresh in salsas.
