Trinidad Scorpion Butch Taylor Red

Butch Taylor from the U.S.A is cross breeding hot peppers for many years now. The seeds from a variant of the Trinidad Scorpion he sent to chili lovers around the world.

An Australian grower cultivated with these seeds the Trinidad Scorpion Butch Taylor. A specimen with no less than 1,463,700 Scoville Units was recorded. This was according to the Guinness Book of Records the world’s hottest pepper ever until februari 2012. The Australian grower used water from a worm farm as fertilizer for the chili plants. That would increase the plant's natural defenses and make chilies even hotter. Growing chili peppers with these amounts of Scoville Units require perfect conditions. 

This is a nuclear hot pepper! Be very careful when handling these peppers and their seeds. Wearing plastic gloves is recommended. Use is entirely at your own risk. For good germination try to maintain a constant temperature of 28 – 32 degrees.
